Community work

Prentmet contributes to a number of charities and community initiatives.

Yma the troll girl

Yma the troll girl was created in the year 2001 with the goal of bringing kindness into childrens life. The book has been used all over Iceland in the fight against persecution. The creator of the book is Ingibjorg Steinunn Ingjaldsdottir. She and her husband Gudmundur Ragnar Gudmundsson, manager, are the owners of Prentmet

SOS-childrens villages

We feel very privileged to have a corporate sponsorship agreement with SOS Children's Villages, the world's largest orphan charity. This organisation operates in 123 countries and has provided new families and homes for more than 70,000 children. We support our staff in visiting Children's Villages when they are travelling in any of the countries in which the charity operates.

UMFI

Icelandic Youth Foundation

Prentmet has been a sedulous sponsor for the Icelandic Youth Foundation for the past few years. UMFI (Icelandic Youth Foundation) has worked for cultivation of the nation all over the country with numerous methods f.eks. sports, acting, forestry, foreign communication, cultivation of our native language, regional tournaments and other various events. The directors of Prentmet are very pleased to have the cooperation agreement with UMFI and are thankful for the work the foundation has given the Icelandic nation since it was established in the year 1907.
